I catapulted into the life of the city with dreams I had worked hard to manifest my entire life: hollywood success as an actor. I went from my home in TN with an awesome family of eight to a stranger (soon-to-be second mother)'s house with us alone in north hollywood. I had two friends. no family there. no car. but man, did I have my family's support and the determination to make it work...time went by, I signed with management, made amazing friends, uber'd literally everywhere, auditioned LOTS, booked a tv episode/short films, etc, had the time of my life. the experience of starting a new high school near malibu as a senior (after that semester of online school) was unforgettable and landing a lead on a new tv series was the best thing yet. life seemed perfect. -- until the show was canceled, & soon after, a separate turn of events out of my control that landed me at the airport with as much of my belongings as I could fit in my suitcases within less than 24 hrs of being told I had to return to TN. my world had shattered. here, 2017 taught me to truly appreciate my home & family, and showed me that I was capable of building myself up from destruction. my shattered dream invoked even more drive in me to pursue it. initially I dreaded my return to my old school, but the fun I had the first months back with friends made life great again. and yet, in its final months, 2017 allowed betrayal, heartbreak, and more loss in my life - once again, kicking me to the ground. but at this year's end, I realize that each intense trial introduced me to powerful strength, deep love and appreciation, wilder passion, and best of all, a closer relationship with Christ. twenty seventeen shook me to my core but blessed me in never-ending ways. the new year may bring even wilder experiences, but I feel that now I have most tools needed to conquer them all. & I can't wait..
